LEO BURNETT GETS IN ROUND

Former Naked, Sydney Head of Creative Chris Round has been appointed a Creative Group Head at Leo Burnett.
Says Leo Burnett national CD, Mark Collis: "Chris comes to the agency with exactly the kind of expertise that this agency has been fostering for two years i.e. Brilliant ideas. It's no news that agencies have for some time been playing catch up with the changing landscape of communications. But it has long been our belief that the idea is central and it is what clients pay us for. Chris was formerly the Head of Creative at Naked and is re-united at Leo's with former Head of Planning Clare Graham."
Round says creatively it’s a natural progression from Naked to Leo Burnett: “Leo’s has one of the best creative reputations in the region and are fully embracing the new direction the industry is taking. Ideas like Earth Hour are testament to this. Also the opportunity to work with a great management team, that share the same vision of executing world class ideas is tremendous."

Thank God for some news that's not about a bunch of tossaires in France. The ad world does keep spinning. G'Day Mark and congrats Chris, lucky bastard!

Shit, that's interesting. Recently they signed off one of their messages with 'SEE YOU IN CANNES'.
Now it appears that they didn't go and are getting jealous at those who did. What gives?

We are sorry you smelled sour grapes in our comment, 12.07. You're not the only one disappointed by our abstinance from France, but no matter what I, or particularly Bec, said or did could convince the Financial Controller at the dead end shop we are embarrassed to work for to sign off on sending us to Cannes. This was depite the stellar work we did on Kristine's Discount Curtain World (seen throughout the Central Coast). The campaign was badly let down by sub-standard post but as everyone on this Blog keeps saying, it's all in the idea, isn't it?! Anyway, our jaunt to the Riverina was cancelled at the last minute, leaving us gutted and even more determined to find a new home wherein we will be appreciated and rewarded. Any jobs going at your place 12.07? The good news is that we have been invited to judge in Cairns (Queensland) at their lauded Croc Awards in July.
