CB/AWARD LEGENDARY LUNCH IN MELBOURNE

The pics have finally been found for the brilliant CB/AWARD Melbourne Legendary Lunch held at One Fitzroy Street, St Kilda on the 7th December. The who's Who of the Melbourne creative industry were there as usual to hear an introductory talk by AWARD co-chairman Phil Putnam, who welcomed nearly 100 new AWARD members from Melbourne since last year. Of course lunch turned into more good times at Bar Corvino.
Special thanks to our generous sponsors Geoff Clow from EMERALD CITY, Julie Rutherford at HONEY FILMS, and Matt Hayward and Barry Stewart at SOUND RESERVOIR/ WHARF STUDIOS.

It looks just like an 80's lunch with the same guys in the same jobs except they are older, fatter and greyer. But still doing the same work. Isn't it time they retire and let the fresh new kids in to rock the industry. The type of kids that know that 'new media' isn't a VHS player.

Hey 6:35! If you reckon the industry needs rockin' no-one's stopping you starting your own place.

Sorry to rain on your soapbox 6:35, but the trouble with 'the type of kids that know 'new media' isn't a VHS player generally don't know what an idea is, or have yet to figure out clients' money is actually meant to make the client famous! And by the way, they're not just older, fatter and greyer, they're also a lot richer too!

Jeezuz- how can you tell the difference between the Melbourne ad wankers and the Sydney ones- Melbourne ones have discovered spray on tans so its's really tricky now!

Yeah the Sydney crowd look like fossils. Thing is they don't need to worry about VHS players, they pay people to do that stuff for them.

Yep, and I'm older, fatter, richer and retired.

But not quite ready to fuck off and die, 6:35.

Merry Xmas,

Love, Monty

Is there a place where young wanna-be creatives upload their folios for all to see? And possible be noticed?
