FURBY READY TO STOKE UP THE FURNACE

The Furnace is the hot new name for the recently combined Arnold and The Moult Agency operations.
According to one source at the agency, "in describing one office or another we will say "The Sydney Furnace" or "The Melbourne Furnace" or "The Port Hedland Furnace". But we're still working on that last office!" Former Arnold CD Jay Furby -- who always wanted to be a train driver like Casey Jones -- is the CD of combined agency, which is located in the former premises of The Moult Agency in The Rocks.

Ordinary choice of name, and similar to 'The Boiler Room'

Frank Lowe got the name game right when he named his new agency 'Red Brick Road' - the road that Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz chose not to go down.

The Furnace.

What exactly is this saying about the new agency? I don't equate furnaces with creativity or production... I do however equate the name with unbearable temperatures, dark miserable basements that reseamble Dantes 'Hell', equipped with large metal constructs into which psychopaths push their unfortunate victims into, or poor people burn their rubbish.

The Furnace.

Hmm! Not sure I like it.

True. Are you suggesting it should have been The Moult Furby Collective ?

cynical or not, it is simply a crap name that will get canned by the majority.

furby probably put it in is new contract that he doesn't care what the name of the new agency is, so long as it has the first three letters of his name in it. The Furry Animals?

What's all the fuss about? The furnace or the fire or the foundry, you cares! At the end of the day they are just going to make some more hokey scams and a couple of mediocre ads for their real clients.

You sad bunch of nasty little low level (so called)creatives, why don't you do some work and stop this infantile sniping. We're sorry your jobs suck, your output is minimal and your chance for the big time sailed a long time ago without you and that your only satisfaction is slating anyone who has actually does something, puts themselves out there and allows the work and businesses to be open to public scrutiny. I keep hearing that Australia is the most vindictive, petty and downright nasty market around. This blog just vindicates that view - it's a good example of the worst thing about consumer generated content. There's a healthy competitive environment and then there's just spouting self serving shit. If your clients knew how you went on when you were spending their money, oh hang on that would suppose you had clients wouldn't it or that you were high enough up to get to talk to one.
