Done by two doctors from London who do a bit of fringe comedy on the side... probably backed ( and possibly conceived ) by the British Labour Party. Very clever. New York solved it's train strike at Xmas by throwing law at the union and threatening them with multi-bazillion dollar fines. This is much smarter. Maybe Brittania is still cool after all.

Exactly what did this viral pieve solve, apart from providing you with a few minutes of entertainment? The strikes are still going on in London - there was one on New Year's Eve - and I'd be very surprised if this so-called piece of brilliance will make any difference.

And as far as NYC goes, the union got pretty much everything it was asking for, so I doubt it was bazillion dollar fines that got them back to work.

It's a funny song and a cool rant. But it's far from fucking genius. But thnx for the link anyway.

That Virgin music viral was much closer to genius - I reckon the average music lover spent at least a half an hour doing that thing.

I guess what I meant was... if you really give a shit then you can communicate with people and strike a chord, very simply and cheaply. The London Underground viral was like that...and as a mate said from London today - "the funniest thing about it is it's fucking true." The US just throws everything to the courts. Default litigation. You only get cool political virals from there during presidential campaigns or the like.Whatever. It made me laugh.

Oh...it was the fines and nothing but the fines that got NYC moving again. They were targeted at indididuals too. Like, union figures. True. Read more. Read better.

I do read better. I also lived through it. True, individuals were targetted, but I (perhaps foolishly) have enough respect for the union and the people involved to think that, having made the difficult decision to go on strike, they wouldn't have just caved in. After all, they knew there'd be fines going in. Besides, if the fines really worked, why did the union achieve their goals? Surely the MTA would have just told them to fuck off if they'd managed to force them back to work through the threat of fines. Understand more. Understand better.

The virgin muci viral was just a rip off of the same execution done around a decade ago - does anyone remember who the client was?
